Treasury Operations Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Operations Manager to join our esteemed client, a prominent banking institution. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the UK financial sector. Please note that this role does not offer sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will support the line manager in various treasury operations, including trading assistance, liquidity risk assessment, financial performance analysis, risk management, and project involvement.
- Business Operations: Collaborate with the line manager on business management tasks, including management information (MI), key performance indicators (KPI), early warning indicators (EWI), key risk indicators (KRI), risk control self-assessment (RCSA), end-to-end mapping, and budget oversight. Ensure compliance with the bank's policies and procedures during trading activities.
- Trading Assistance: Oversee the Trader Mandate and facilitate trader authorizations within the treasury system. Manage counterparty relationships, prepare risk limit applications, and assist with client onboarding processes, including KYC verification. Ensure accurate capture of treasury transactions in the systems.
- Liquidity Oversight: Aid the Asset and Liability Management (ALM) team in monitoring and analyzing liquidity risks. Develop tools to enhance predictive capabilities and conduct scenario analyses.
- Financial Performance Analysis: Evaluate the treasury's impact on the overall financial health of the bank.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate credit, liquidity, market, and operational risks. Monitor risk exposure and limit usage, analyze profit and loss (PnL), and escalate any risk-related issues to the line manager.
- Project Involvement: Assist the line manager with new product approvals and business requirement documentation for system enhancements. Lead treasury-related initiatives in bank-wide projects and optimize tools for risk measurement and control.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following:
- A degree in a quantitative discipline (a Master's degree is preferred).
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin.
- In-depth knowledge of foreign exchange (FX), interest rates, money market (MM), and other treasury products.
- Strong understanding of treasury risk management and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in VBA and spreadsheet applications.
