Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a minimum of 3 years of relevant UK work experience to join our team at Barbara Houghton. This role requires fluency in both Mandarin and English and will be office-based five days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Management: Support the line manager in various business management tasks, including management information (MI), key performance indicators (KPI), early warning indicators (EWI), key risk indicators (KRI), risk control self-assessment (RCSA), end-to-end mapping, and budget planning and tracking. Ensure compliance with the bank's policies and procedures during trading activities.
  • Trading Support: Maintain and implement Trader Mandate and authorization within the Treasury system. Manage counterparties, prepare risk limit applications, and assist with client onboarding processes, including KYC. Verify Treasury transactions and ensure accurate system capture of deals.
  • Liquidity Management: Collaborate with the Asset Liability Management (ALM) team to monitor and analyze liquidity risk. Develop tools to enhance forecasting capabilities and conduct scenario analyses.
  • Financial Analysis: Evaluate the Treasury's contribution to the overall financial performance of the bank.
  • Risk Control: Identify and manage credit, liquidity, market, and operational risks. Monitor risk exposure and limit utilization, assess profit and loss (PnL), and escalate risk events as necessary.
  • Project Involvement: Assist in New Product Approval processes and develop Business Requirement Documents for system enhancements. Lead Treasury-related tasks in bank-wide projects, focusing on risk control and measurement tools.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a quantitative field (MSc preferred).
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Strong knowledge of foreign exchange (FX), interest rates, money market, and other Treasury products.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Treasury risk management and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven skills in communication, decision-making, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in VBA and spreadsheets.
