Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee our factory operations in Wales. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6-10 years of experience in a steel workshop environment, with a strong focus on quality, lean management, and people skills. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes, maintaining high standards of quality, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of factory operations, ensuring production targets are met and high-quality standards are maintained.
  2. Implement and promote lean management principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
  3. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  4. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled workers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  5. Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as necessary to meet demand and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in a steel workshop or manufacturing environment.
  2. Proven experience in lean management and process improvement.
  3. Strong understanding of quality assurance practices and standards in steel manufacturing.
  4. Excellent leadership and people management skills.
