We are looking for an Executive Director for Adults and Health; this represents a real opportunity for the right candidate to help us to achieve our ambitions, through inspirational leadership, effective partnership working and a relentless focus on quality and continuous improvement, placing people who draw on social care services at the heart of what we do.
We are looking for an experienced and inspirational strategic leader who is passionate about driving and leading the provision of excellent services for residents driven by the opportunity to make a difference. As the lead strategic advisor for adult social care and health care services, you will act as a champion for vulnerable adults, tackling inequalities, promoting wellbeing and increasing social inclusion. You will also lead a broader portfolio of community services that contribute to these outcomes including library and registration services.
You don't need a professional qualification for this role, but you do need substantial leadership experience in an appropriate sector, providing you with breadth and depth of knowledge across adults and health. You will be an exceptional collaborator, capable of bringing together, motivating and enabling diverse teams and partners to deliver across the breadth of the portfolio of services. You will have significant experience of influencing the direction of adult social care and health services within a complex political environment, applying sound judgement to complex safeguarding, adult social care and health issues, ensuring that maximising people's independence is an organisational priority.
