Weekend Library Assistant

Sunday Library Assistant, Grade 2, 9.5 hours per week (0.22 FTE) term time only, London College of Fashion (LCF), Stratford.
We currently have a permanent term-time only post available working 361 hours per year. This is a 38 week a year contract, salary is spread across 12 months of the year.The working pattern for this role is:
Sunday 09:4- 20:15 during BA term time (currently 31 weeks)
AND Sunday 09:4- 16:15 outside BA term time (currently 4 weeks), with any remaining hours worked over the year by agreement, to accommodate weekday opening, plus staff training and development.
As part of the friendly weekend team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, student-focused library services which support the academic activities of the University and its constituent Colleges.
You will be based at LCF Stratford, although you might occasionally be required to work at any of the other UAL libraries.
You will participate in on-site front-line services and administrative duties including support for self-issue systems, IT and printing.You will help users with directional and initial information enquiries, including use of the library catalogue and electronic information resources.
You will also participate in answering enquiries on-line, via our live chat service, ASK.
You may also be required to take part in shelving activities and demonstrate an understanding of manual handling guidelines which will be required when lifting heavy items.
About you
You will have relevant experience in a library or customer service environment, and formal training to post 16 level.
You will have experience of working as a member of a team, providing support, assistance and cover where needed.
You will also be able to work independently and have excellent written and oral communication skills and be IT literate.
