As Barclays Governance Manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to work closely with multiple teams across CB Operations to assist with New and Amended Product Approval (NAPA) related activity. You will also play a key role in ensuring the delivery of effective governance management across operational sites across UK, Europe, USA and APAC.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting with all NAPA activity across CB Operations to ensure all NAPAs and Product reviews are effectively and timely assessed by the impacted operational areas
  • Supporting the governance framework for CB operations and ensuring all colleagues understand the roles and accountabilities
  • Helping lead the annual review of the NAPA aide-memoire across Global Operation teams and coordinate responses to the NAPA committee for review
  • Producing NAPA summary briefing reports for the CB COO Managing Director
  • Ensuring all colleagues understand the roles and accountabilities in relation to NAPA
  • Working in partnership with vendors /technology to pivot away from traditional assurance to establish proven sustainable solutions

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a Control or Governance role, preferably in the First Line of Defense
  • Knowledgeable of regulations and standards of relevant industry bodies and organizations
  • Proficiency in the use of applications such as management of SharePoint sites and excel data analysis

  • A collaborative individual with the ability to share best practice across all levels

Where will you be working?

Barclays Snowhill is at the heart of the professional district and commands a workforce of around 1000. With great transport links to Birmingham Grand Central and Snowhill train stations as well as the local metro. Our office has a dedicated staff coffee shop and deli and break out areas for staff. There is also a presentation theatre for client and staff events. Our office boasts a great working environment as well as opportunities to network across the city.
