Duration: Temporary - Permanent

Stafflex are actively recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established company who are partnered with other well-established district councils, recyclers, manufacturers, and retailers This is a great opportunity for an experienced Operations Team Leader who is keen to join a vibrant and positive team as well as, being keen to take part in their continued success and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe working environment, continuously adhere to guidance/recommendation/safe practice.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures, are all documented and trained to all staff and signed off.
  • Ensure all tasks in area have safe systems of work all staff trained and signed off.
  • Coach and motivate potential talents within the team.
  • Encourage and support colleagues/TL to meet targets.
  • Communicate shift plan with staff and other Team leaders.
  • Measure performance through RP and ensure that cost and quality KPIs are achieved.
  • Ensure high standards of warehouse discipline are maintained including positioning of stock within the warehouse, general housekeeping, and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Communicate effectively with the other operational areas and achieve a good standard of shift handover.
  • Reporting investigations and escalations.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous Team Leader experience or equivalent managing a team of more than 10.
  • Experience within an ecommerce / distribution centre would be preferable
  • Able to motivate, coach and support the team
  • Adaptability - able to react in a fast paced environment
  • Confident, able to make decisions and take responsibility
  • A good working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is critical
  • Ambitious, determined and looking to take on new challenges and develop within the role
