Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking to appoint a Policy Impact Coordinator to join MetroPolis, the University's research-led think tank.

The role:

The Policy Impact Coordinator will play an important role in supporting Metropolis - a multidisciplinary community of academics who are focused on the translation of high quality research excellence into policy impacts. Our aim is to amplify the University's policy related research whilst bridging the gap between researchers and the policy community.

The Coordinator will work with teams across the University to plan and deliver events, they will contribute to communication activities using social media and other channels and they will provide high-quality coordination and administration. The post holder will ensure that colleagues receive regular updates about policy engagement opportunities, funding and training. This post is fixed-term for 2 years.

About you:

We're looking for a proactive, independent, problem solver with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Experience in event planning and/or working in an administrative role within Higher Education or the Civil Service would be advantageous.
