Reporting to the Neighbourhood and Waste Services Managers, you will assist and investigate operational efficiencies and ensure our essential daily front-line services, continue to be deliver to an excellent standard. The role is very varied, no 2 days are the same

The role is very rewarding, you will be a key contributor to the Partnership in making East Lindsey a successful and vibrant place. Duties of the role:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders, estimates and quotations with full regard to any legislative controls.
  • Support the Service Support Assistants with the administration of all service back-office ITC systems.
  • Support health & safety and proficiency training across the teams; to develop, monitor and review risk assessments and safe systems of work and ensure all health and safety documentation is compliant across the Waste, Neighbourhood Services and the Vehicle Maintenance Unit.
  • Ensure local and national performance indicators are reported accurately.
  • Ensure services policies and procedures are updated with changes in legislations.
  • Manage and respond to service-related complaints, Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and customer feedback.
  • Manage service-related training including identifying appropriate training courses, liaising with training providers, arranging venues etc.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of current ICT systems and to analyse the need for development, including new ICT systems by making recommendations to the appropriate Service Manager (Neighbourhoods. or Waste).
  • Ensure the services front facing web based information is kept up-to-date and informative.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have an understanding of Waste, Cleansing, or Grounds Maintenance Services function.
  • Be a quick learner and be able to provide a steady, calm, tried and tested pair of hands. Be methodical and have experience in providing a high standard of work planning and organisation.
  • Have experience of dealing with external stakeholders and providing support to Managers on projects and through implementation of the partnerships annual delivery plan.
  • Have excellent organisational skills such as time management and project management and in supporting promotional campaigns.

You will be line managing a team of 5 Service Support Assistants so previous line management experience is advantageous, but all training will be provided

This position could potentially be a shared role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) in the near future. It will form part of the S113 agreement between the participating partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1st October 2021.
