Financial Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Officer to join our team at Lincolnshire And District Medical Services (LADMS). As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial transactions, budgeting, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including transaction records, invoices, and timesheets.
- Review and approve financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss accounts.
- Reconcile banking and conduct regular financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and manage budgets for multiple services, including forecasting and financial planning.
- Authorise and process bank payments, ensuring timely and efficient payment processing.
- File tax returns, companies house, HMRC, and other financial documents as required.
- Provide financial support to senior management, including payroll production and financial analysis.
- Monitor and manage financial systems, including Sage, to ensure efficient and accurate financial processing.
- Develop and maintain filing and administrative systems to ensure secure and accessible financial information.
- Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders, including suppliers, accountants, and employees.
Requirements
- Maths and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and laws.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using financial software, such as Xero, and a strong understanding of financial procedures.
- Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role, with a strong track record of financial management and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to manage confidential data.
- A Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Studies, or equivalent qualification.
- Professional qualification as a CFA/CPA is considered a plus.
