About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Financial Officer to join our team at Lincolnshire And District Medical Services (LADMS). As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial transactions, developing budgets and forecasts, preparing financial reports, and monitoring all transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and transaction logs
  • Review and approve invoices, timesheets, and financial statements
  • Reconcile banking and conduct financial audits
  • Prepare and manage budgets for multiple services
  • Authorise bank payments and manage cash flow
  • File tax returns, companies house, and HMRC documents
  • Manage payroll spreadsheets and input authorised timesheets and notes
  • Manage payment and finance queries
  • Create invoices and manage accounts payable
  • Point of contact for accountants and shareholders
  • Monitor NHS Pensions schemes and establish filing and administrative systems

Requirements

  • Maths and problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and laws
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
  • Experience using financial software such as Xero
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Sharp time management skills
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Studies
  • Two A Levels
  • At least two GCSEs, including English and Maths
  • BSc or AAT degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Professional qualification as a CFA/CPA is considered a plus
