Purpose of the Role

To assist the Lead Engineer in technical aspects of planning and construction at assigned sites, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to standards.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks include:

  • Ensure safe and cost-effective construction plans
  • Support Lead Engineer in enhancing productivity
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Produce planning documents and schedules
  • Control on-site technical activities
  • Attend relevant meetings and training sessions

Person Specification

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Understanding of permanent way and track standards
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Computer literacy
  • Driving ability
  • Safety Training certifications
