We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to fill this role which is a permanent role held within a luxury automotive customer in the North West of England.

The duties will include:

  • Represent Continental within a luxury vehicle manufacturer R&D team.
  • Develop professional relationships across a multi disciplined team.
  • Actively manage customer expectations – inform and involve stakeholders on regular occasions and in appropriate manner.
  • Supplier Management.
  • Managing new software releases on behalf of the customer within their project structure including all planning, testing, releases and sign-off for series production.
  • Component ownership/development of HVAC ECU.
  • Resolution of faults and issues raised by manufacturing or other development teams internal to the customer.
  • BoM management of HVAC ECU.
  • Project Management/Signoff release documents including BoM release, Engineering/Production release, Change Requests and Permits.
  • Status reporting for all relevant concerns.
  • Planning test and development programs.

Requirements:

  • Ability to use CAN and Flexray tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in Vector CAN tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, processes and rules and internal decision-making structures.
  • Experience with Risk management, Problem Resolution, Lessons Learned, escalation, and claim management.
  • Knowledge of relevant technology and processes, software and/ or services and different engineering and base solutions.
  • Experience of effective communication with customers, customer relationship management, customer collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Continental and its environment, the corporate strategy and its goals are desirable.
  • Experience with VW System 42.
  • Engineering HND/C, degree or extensive experience.
  • Automotive OEM R&D Environment experience preferred
  • Automotive Electrical experience essential.
  • Automotive Technician experience desirable.
