Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Production Systems Engineer with a proven track record in executing Production Control Projects within the automotive sector. This role is situated in Crewe at one of our esteemed automotive clients, operating within state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
The project spans 18 months, during which you will be tasked with updating, integrating, and ensuring the compatibility of new vehicle projects within production control systems.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday, with early finish on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thorough understanding of existing Production Control processes and activities.
- Analyze production discrepancies and provide accurate reporting.
- Escalate critical production issues as necessary.
- Conduct baseline importing, comparison, validation checks, and vehicle alignment.
- Create and manage ASP baseline, run checks, analyze errors, and provide feedback to R&D.
- Develop exhaustion lists for change management.
- Generate EZU/ZDC permitted deviations.
- Update and create Production configuration files.
- Compile GIT validation sheets and donor UPS specifications.
- Implement Production escalation protocols.
- Sign-off and document relevant permits.
- Compile and release Production ASV to the line and test MFTDs.
- Participate in and represent the team in all relevant meetings.
- Update Cut and Manifest Systems.
- Manage DC Tooling updates.
- Familiarity with VW Group Systems is preferred.
