Role overview:

PlayStation Direct continues to be an important pillar for PlayStation's direct to consumer business providing customers with physical goods such as PS5 consoles, accessories and disc software. PlayStation Direct operations in the US and 10 European countries today. We are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit, interested in working at the forefront of online retail experiences aimed at exceeding the expectations of the gaming community.

This role, reporting to the Ecommerce Commercial manager, will be part of a small commercial team responsible for supporting the planning and execution of day-to-day D2C storefront operations. This will require partnering with other functional teams globally and regionally to build and scale the PlayStation Direct-To-Consumer business by driving specific PlayStation Direct storefront commercial activities, with focus in Europe.

We're looking for individuals who are motivated, self-starters with strong commercial competence and attitude. The candidate will need to be flexible and open to evolving roles and responsibilities aligned to the changing needs of the business unit as it grows and expands.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the day-to-day commercial operations for D2C ecommerce platform such as (but not limited to):
    • Align with merchandisers in prioritising key commercial activities and campaigns
    • Manage pricing policies, operations and accuracy
    • Assortment management - including in-stock status, SKU efficiency and EOL operations
  • Working with the global Commercial Managers, to develop and implement exciting campaigns
    • Identify and develop promotional opportunities via data-driven insights, and drive seamless execution
    • Develop go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches, including both 1st party and 3rd party products
    • Assess and evaluate current value proposition and seek areas of improvements
  • Support regular (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly) reporting as well as ad hoc insight finding
  • Weekly forecasting of the business to ensure sales and profit maximisation for PlayStation Direct
  • Support cross-functional operations, such as marketing, supply chain and customer service, implementing and optimising business processes for all commercial topics within a global framework
  • Build collaborative relationship with the wider commercial planning and management organization to ensure the Direct business and associated opportunities are fully understood by the wider business
What we're looking for:
  • Professional experience in ecommerce, preferably for a retailer of consumer electronics.
  • Self-starter - able to work independently in a lean and globally diverse team.
  • Detail orientated - delivers high quality and accurate work consistently.
  • Data driven - uses data to influence and inform decisions. Comfortable with big/ diverse data sets.
  • Experience in both proposition development and operational execution.
  • Entrepreneurial - Is curious, able to identify new areas of opportunity for exploration and development.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - Able to operate with limited information and with limited resources.
  • Team player - Collaborative, relationship builder, can thrive in a highly matrixed, fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Operational experience in Commerce tools and promotional engines, preferably SAP Commerce/S4.
