Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning & Development (L&D) Lead to drive their people development agenda. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with business leaders, managers, and colleagues across various divisions, providing guidance on suitable solutions for knowledge gaps or future skill-sets. The L&D Lead will also design and deliver quality training on key topics, manage the coordination of courses, and maintain relationships with external training partners. With a focus on enabling a positive and engaging employee experience, this role is perfect for someone who keeps abreast of new trends and upcoming technology in the L&D field.

What you'll do:

As the Learning & Development Lead, you will be instrumental in driving the group's agenda on how to continually develop and grow our people. You will have a good understanding of business needs and provide guidance on suitable solutions for knowledge gaps or future skill-sets. Your role will involve designing and delivering quality training on key topics to help upskill our teams. You will also manage the coordination of courses run at head office, ensuring that any proposals are fully costed and budgets agreed. Your continual focus on enabling a positive and engaging employee experience will keep you close to what new trends and upcoming technology are available.

Work closely with managers and People Partners to understand Talent Planning across the organisation and current/future L&D requirements.
Carry out training needs analysis to help identify gaps and opportunities.
Design, develop and implement training and development programmes based on business and individual needs.
Deliver in-house training in an engaging, interactive manner to maximise effectiveness.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with external training providers, apprenticeship providers and 3rd party training system/platform account managers.
Agree clear measures of success for all development programmes and set up evaluation methods.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Learning & Development Lead position brings a wealth of industry understanding & involvement. You possess in-depth knowledge of L&D best practices, coupled with a passion for training design and delivery. Your outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills will enable you to work with and influence multiple stakeholders effectively. You have excellent verbal and written communication standards, along with impactful presentation skills. A general awareness of financial constraints and the impact of current business performance on budgets is essential. You are a core Microsoft office user, confidently utilising online communication platforms.

In-depth knowledge of L&D best practice, with a passion for training design and delivery ideally gained in multiple business backgrounds.
Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills, with proven ability to work with and influence multiple stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication standards and impactful presentation skills.
General awareness of financial constraints and impact of current business performance on budgets.
Core Microsoft office user, confidently utilises online communication platforms.
CIPD qualified desirable, with GCSE English and Maths at a C+ or equivalent.
