  • You will work as part of the Construction Delivery Team, taking direction from the Construction Lead and Project senior leadership team.

  • You will build a strong working relationship with your clients and support the construction lead in turning the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan.
  • Responsible for the commercial management of work packages collaborating with package managers and reporting into the project commercial lead.
  • Responsible for the commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
  • Procurement of subcontract packages and materials including collating tender documentation & administering tenders.
  • Accountable for commercial package management and reporting to the commercial lead.
  • Establishes cost control systems including administering client and subcontract changes.
  • Establishes risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms.
  • Mitigates risks and protect package/project margin.
  • Enhances profit by seeking opportunities through change and cost reduction measures such as value engineering.
  • Operates and collaborates as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
  • Provides risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms, mitigating risks and protecting work packages and project margins through cost control systems.

You'll need to have:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management (or equivalent).
  • CSCS.

You'll also have:

  • Working towards m membership of MCIOB / MAPM / MRICS / MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the construct sector.
  • Construction management expertise.
  • Developing commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
  • Contract Management, including knowledge of Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) Suite of Contracts.
  • Ability to apply detailed technical expertise managing complex tasks.
  • Establishes clients' requirements & manages expectations.
  • Ability to build established and effective client relationships.
  • Provides clear direction and creates a culture of high performance.
  • Encourages and empowers others, providing praise & recognition of efforts.
  • Actively supports the wider team to ensure plans are met.
  • Chartered MRICS (or equivalent).
