We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Investment Analyst to join Royal London Asset Management (RLAM), in the Property Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide new proposition Investment Analysis, Financial Modelling and Transaction Structuring support to the Investment Director.

You will also provide cross fund Investment Analysis and Financial Modelling support to the Property Fund Managers for Portfolio Business Plans.


The Property team actively manages property investment assets to outperform the benchmark for internal and external clients.

About the role

  • Supporting the Investment Analyst team and RLAM Property Investment Director on the testing and underwriting of new Property propositions both from within the existing AuM or for new strategies, presenting the investment hypothesis both internally (RL Group, RLAM) and externally to new prospective 3rd party clients
  • Providing analytical support for a variety of real assets development, investment and structured finance projects in the UK and internationally - real assets to include 'Traditional/Mainstream' real estate sectors: offices, retail and industrial and 'Alternative' sectors: Healthcare, Living and Life Sciences.
  • Assist in the provision of supporting asset investment analytics and financial modelling in Anaplan for asset management initiatives, sales and purchase reports as required by Sector Teams, Investment/Asset Managers - Ensuring data quality and performing checks on data import/export processes
  • Supporting the investment analyst and senior investment analyst on financial analysis requests from the wider property team
About you

  • Professional qualification CFA / MRICS / ACA or equivalent
  • Experienced with financial modelling in Anaplan
  • Previous exposure to real estate businesses
  • Strong Excel skills with an interest in financial modelling
  • Highly IT literate with an aptitude for learning new tools and techniques
  • Exhibit an ability to work on one's own and within a team framework
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, ensuring that all deadlines are met
