ABOUT YOU

You'll leverage your experience to analyse monthly management accounts, identify cost-saving opportunities, and facilitate data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting processes and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required skills and experience:
Holds an accounting degree from a recognised institution. Partial chartered qualification is desirable but not mandatory.Experience in supporting the financial reporting processes and month-end procedures.Ability to prepare and manage balance sheet reconciliations.Experience in supporting annual budgeting and weekly forecasting processes.Experience in working with finance business partners or FP&A teams is desirable.Strong knowledge of MS tools, especially MS excel.Experienced in using a Finance ERP system. Experience with IBM Cognos Controller, PeopleSoft or Sun Systems would be advantageous.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Key activities:
Ensuring all month-end processes are completed in line with group reporting deadlines.Reviewing P&L commentaries before distribution to sites along with post month end deep dive reviews reviewing information gathered ensuring discussion is fully documented.Reviewing and understanding the financial results for your allocated UK operations and presenting those results to finance business partners or FP&As.Supporting the senior reporting accountants, finance business partners or FP&As with the annual budgeting and weekly forecasting processes.Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring open items are cleared timely; Reviewing the recs performed by peers and supporting clearance of open items.Working with finance business partners to understand and explain variances to budget, prior month and prior year results.Supporting the control environment by ensuring documentation of monthly, quarterly, semi annual reviews.
