On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a Financial Control Analyst to work in their Finance and Treasury team based in Edinburgh for an initial contract length of 12 months.

The roleTo support purchasing activities, this role involves the comprehensive management of the procurement process. This includes initiating and raising purchase requisitions, processing, and managing Purchase Orders (POs), and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate payment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyse data using established finance systems and protocols.
  • Collate and analyse data using pre-set tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
  • Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
  • Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
  • Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Financial Services experience beneficial.
    • Oracle R12 experience is beneficial.
