About The Role

SEIB Insurance Brokers, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our South Ockendon office.

This role will see the successful candidate responsible for the accounts payable function, whilst supporting the Accounts Team in providing accounting support to the wider business; ensuring processes are followed and any discrepancies or queries are fully and efficiently resolved.

Key responsibilities

Achieve individual objectives and key performance indicators as set and agreedDistribute supplier invoices for authorisation to relevant managersEnter authorised supplier invoices onto purchase ledgerPay authorised supplier invoices within credit termsEnter business payments onto sageReconcile business bank account monthlyProcess weekly expense claims paymentsReconcile petty cash tinSupport the preparation of management accounts and month-end dutiesProvision of ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by management.Support the wider accounts team by taking phone calls and completing simple Open Gi tasksAd hoc tasks as directedSupport colleagues from all areas of the business as required.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

Previous experience within a similar Accounts based role (Essential)Experience using Sage 50 accounts (Essential)Proficient in Excel (Essential)Open Gi experience (desirable)
