About the Role:
They are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Associate to join their London office and support Financial Operations across both their UK and US companies. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career in a role where you will take ownership of current financial operations, in addition to helping them develop new processes and reporting. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various financial processes.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting
- Establish processes to support budgeting and financial planning & forecasting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and external reports such as partner revenue share, cash flow, and intercompany license reports.
- Analyse financial data to optimize spending, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Payroll and Invoicing (UK & US)
- Oversee the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Manage - and where possible automate - the invoicing process, including issuing invoices, processing payments, and ensuring timely collections.
VAT/Sales Tax and Compliance (UK & US)
- Lead the preparation and submission of VAT and Sales Tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Liaise with external accountants to support financial reporting and compliance.
Support Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Procurement Financial Requirements
- Provide financial documents and information as required during RFP submissions, client due diligence processes, and other procurement activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in a finance or accounting role within a B2B SaaS company.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- An interest in taking ownership of financial operations and processes.
- You will be supported by the COO and Operations Manager; however, we are looking for someone who is comfortable with leading on and being responsible for several financial tasks and projects.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Familiarity with any CRM and automation software (e.g., HubSpot, Zapier) is plus.
