Regional Head of Office – Commercial Insurance Broker (Manchester)

We are an established and dynamic commercial insurance broker seeking a Regional Head of Office to join our Manchester team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a forward-thinking individual with a strong commercial mindset and leadership capabilities to take full ownership of the office's Profit and Loss (P&L) and shape its future success.

Role Overview:

As the Regional Head of Office, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the full operational and financial performance of our Manchester office. You will have a direct impact on the business, driving revenue growth, optimizing profitability, and managing key commercial client relationships.

You will also be tasked with managing the office's day-to-day operations, ensuring high performance across the team, and holding full accountability for the P&L. This will involve leading a talented group of Account Executives and Handlers, while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Key Responsibilities:P&L Management: Full ownership and accountability for the office's P&L, driving business profitability and sustainable growth in the commercial insurance sector.
  • Business Development: Identifying new business opportunities, enhancing existing client relationships, and expanding the broker's presence in the commercial insurance market.
  • Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of Account Executives and Handlers, ensuring they are aligned with business goals and delivering outstanding service to clients.
  • Reporting & Strategy: Reporting to senior management, providing regular updates on financial performance, and collaborating on strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • Client Relations: Acting as a senior point of contact for key commercial clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded while building long-term partnerships.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring that the office operates within industry regulations and guidelines while minimizing risk exposure.
  • Key Requirements:Proven experience in a senior management role within the commercial insurance industry, ideally with experience managing P&L.
  • A strong track record of business development, growth, and profitability in an insurance brokerage environment, particularly in commercial lines.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage a high-performing team.
  • Experience managing a team of Account Executives and Handlers, fostering a positive, results-driven culture.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical abilities to drive and report on business performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • A deep understanding of the commercial insurance sector, its challenges, and opportunities.
