Our client is a customer focussed, mortgage and savings provide based in Buckinghamshire and they have an exciting new Finance Manager position, to join their Finance team. This role will be responsible for the preparation of the organisations financial plans and managing the monthly and quarterly accounting closing process. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified, finance professional to either progress their career or to expand their knowledge into financial services.
The head office is based in Buckinghamshire, and they can offer a hybrid approach to the working week, with a minimum of 3 days in the office. Their offices aren't easily accessed via public transport, so it would be preferable that you have your own mode of transport.
Duties of the Finance Manager will include:
- Managing the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, ensuring that all transactions are accurately accounted for, and accounts are reconciled in a timely manner.
- Responsibility for the accurate maintenance of designated General Ledger accounts, including timely and regular reconciliations and analyses.
- The preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports and analyses.
- The preparation of the Company’s financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- To take a lead role in the production of published accounts.
- Support the internal audit and the end of year audit.
- Line management and on-going professional development of 2 members of the Finance team.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Previous experience in accounting, preferably in Financial Services
- Supervisory/Management experience would be desirable
