Head of Finance

The main responsibilities of the Head of Finance will include:
- Management of all finance matters relating to our statutory accounts, treasury, taxation and management information.
- Timely and accurate submission of the Society’s regulatory reports, and management of the ongoing compliance with our Regulatory Governance Framework.
- Line management and ongoing professional development of 7 Finance team members, including one to ones, performance appraisals etc
- Coordination and delivery of the financial planning and forecasting processes through the year.
- Manage the preparation of the Society’s Annual Reports and Accounts and lead the year end External Audit Process.
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures, including Hedge Accounting, Effective Interest Rate Accounting and Loan Loss Provisioning.
- Assist the FD in the production and delivery of key regulatory documents including ICAAP, ILAAP & RRP.
- Qualified member of an accountancy body _(essential)._
- Experience at a similar level within a Financial Services organisation _(essential)_.
- An understanding of the regulatory framework under which we operate _(essential)_.
- A sound understanding of applicable technical accounting standards _(essential)_.
- Management experience _(essential)_.
- Commercially astute, articulate and technically strong with the ability to manage all Finance operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with credibility and manage well at all levels across the Society.
- A self-starter, able to identify and implement required changes and improvements to existing processes.
