GENERAL SUMMARY:

Working closely with the VP of International Licensing and Senior Retail Development manager, this role will be responsible to oversee our licensing agents and licensees across the EMEA business and to drive new revenue whilst maximising current lines of business. The role will include account management of existing and new partners, managing new product launches, managing local marketing needs, retail relationships and cross-promotional opportunities with the support of the wider Cloudco sales, marketing and creative departments. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales / Account Management

  • Manage licensing agents across the EMEA region, ensuring best practices and efficiencies, to drive new revenue for the CloudCo consumer products business. 
  • Provide current and new agents with relevant sales materials, brand information and/or legal and financial support as required. 
  • Strategise, identify and develop new business opportunities including direct licensees and/or retail partners outside of agency management. 
  • Manage the process from concept to pitch, contract negotiation, to licensee on-boarding and category/retail planning. 
  • Research & understand the competitive landscape. Analyze and understand market trends, consumer trends and retailer and industry needs.
  • Analyse agent(s) business performance and develop/drive growth objectives that are aligned with CloudCo’s consumer product strategies. 
  • Coordinate and lead licensee business reviews and renegotiate commercial terms if required. 
  • Develop and implement product strategies, merchandising and marketing plans to ensure sales are maximized and sales objectives are met.


Finance and Business Planning:

  • Accountable for developing and implementing the business strategy for EMEA markets in partnership with the VP, International Licensing
  • Work with the VP, International Licensing across annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting (e.g. setting annual targets, obtaining and reviewing quarterly forecasts and chasing royalty reports).
  • Maintain the International Pipeline Finance Tracker ensuring all information across current and prospective clients is captured. 
  • Participate and contribute to the strategic planning process. Develop strategies and business plans by retailer, brand and property where required. 


Business Support Functions 

  • In conjunction with/support of the Franchise marketing team:

Provide any licensee/product information in support of marketing & brand presentations as well as sales meetings.

Help define and integrate licensees within wider brand and marketing plans.

  • Partner with Creative & Product Approvals team to innovate & bring to market compelling new products; collaborate and oversee product development strategy with special focus on quality, appropriate SKU count, feature/benefit analysis.
  • Work closely with licensees to ensure product lines are strategically thought out and meet retailer needs by distribution channel while maintaining Cloudco quality and character integrity standards.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education: Bachelors degree. 


Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • Strong experience in agent and sales management and/or consumer products licensing, preferably with an international or entertainment brand.
  • Functional experience and knowledge of brand licensing with a particular focus to rights and brands in the International landscape preferred. 


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with international clients and cross-cultural awareness. 
  • Ability to communicate at all levels. 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English: additional languages useful.
  • Computer literate with good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Willingness to travel EMEA wide, with some international travel if required.
