Position Overview: The Marketing and Communications Manager will be a central figure in executing LEEA’s marketing strategy. This role will oversee the delivery of the marketing plan, manage strategic campaigns, and ensure responsible allocation of the marketing budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in campaign management, budget oversight, stakeholder and supplier management, and be comfortable with basic design software like Canva. Additionally, the role involves leading LEEA’s social media strategy to enhance the association’s online presence and engagement.


Key Responsibilities:


Marketing Strategy and Planning:

  • Champion the development and implementation of LEEA’s marketing strategy in alignment with organisational goals.
  • Lead the delivery of the overall marketing plan, ensuring that strategic campaigns are effectively executed.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to achieve objectives.


Campaign Management:

  • Plan, execute, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and event-based initiatives.
  • Plan, collaborate and support the delivery of regional consultation events, ensuring effective data capture.
  • Collaborate with LEEA departments to plan and execute effective campaigns covering the breadth of LEEA’s products and services.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, ensuring consistency with LEEA’s brand and messaging.
  • Write and edit basic copy for ad-hoc or time-sensitive requests, ensuring a high standard of content quality.


Social Media Strategy and Management:

  • Lead the development and execution of LEEA’s social media strategy to enhance online presence and member engagement.
  • Create and schedule content across various social media platforms, ensuring it aligns with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Monitor social media performance, analyse metrics, and adjust strategies to optimize engagement and reach.


Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring that funds are allocated efficiently and responsibly.
  • Track expenditures and provide regular reports on budget performance to senior management.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality or impact of marketing activities.


Stakeholder and Supplier Management:

  • Serve as the central point of contact for external suppliers, including agencies, designers, and printers.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, members, and industry partners.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of marketing services and materials.


Content Creation and Design:

  • Use basic design software like Canva to edit designs based on templated brand compliant assets.
  • Collaborate with designers and content creators to produce high-quality marketing assets that align with LEEA’s brand guidelines.
  • Ensure that all content produced is accurate, relevant, and reflects LEEA’s values and mission.


Measurement and Reporting:

  • Analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide insights for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports on marketing performance, including key metrics and ROI.
  • Use data to inform future marketing strategies and campaigns.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record in campaign management and budget oversight.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Experience of using international marketing trends to deliver impact based on regional needs
  • Proficiency with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter (X), Hootsuite and other related platforms
  • Basic proficiency in design software like Canva; experience with other design tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to create compelling content.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills.
  • Experience working for a trade association or membership body is advantageous but not essential.
