CDM Recruitment is delighted to announce an opportunity for a Digital Construction Manager to join one of the UK's leading construction groups.


Our client is a dynamic and innovative construction group committed to excellence and sustainability across all projects. With a strong focus on digital transformation, they are looking for a talented Digital Construction Manager to lead their digital construction efforts across the company.


Role Overview:

As the Digital Construction Manager, you will spearhead digital construction initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be at the forefront of the digital strategy, overseeing BIM research and development, managing ISO certification processes, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Research & Development: Lead R&D in 4D and 5D modeling, sustainability and carbon management, project and design management, and fire stopping procedures.
  • Support Across the Business: Provide comprehensive support and training to various departments to ensure consistent and efficient project delivery.
  • ISO19650 Certification: Manage and update documentation for ISO certification, ensuring standards are met across the group.
  • Digital Construction Documents: Oversee the management and maintenance of digital construction documentation and the intranet hub page.
  • Software Implementation: Lead the implementation of software and systems such as Common Data Environment (CDE), clash detection, and information management procedures.
  • Regional Project Reviews: Regularly assess progress, identify issues, and provide solutions through regional project reviews.
  • Software Solutions Management: Oversee and ensure effective use of software solutions like Solibri, issue management, and project/design management tools.
  • Ongoing Training: Continuously train Regional Digital Construction Managers on the latest practices and technologies.


Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in BIM implementation and digital construction management.
  • Certifications: Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) or BuildingSMART Professional (BSP) are advantageous.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Solibri Office, Autodesk products, and Microsoft 365.
  • Competencies: Strong goal-setting, effective communication, proactive planning, problem-solving, timely decision-making, team collaboration, and a client satisfaction focus.
