As you may, or may not know, there is a significant national shortage of skilled tutors in the Construction sector, and an even greater shortage of those specialising in multi skills that can add value across the board. As an innovative training provider, dedicated to helping people get to where they want to be, RE:GEN Academy is on the hunt to find skilled individuals with a variety of trades experience in the North East and who are interested in becoming a tutor.

**Your Responsibilities**:
As a Employability Construction Tutor at RE:GEN Academy, you will be required to design and deliver training and professional development opportunities for individuals looking to gain employment within the Construction industry.

As the Employability tutor you will take the lead on the cohort delivery, working closely with a team of qualified construction trainers to facilitate a high-quality learning experience by bringing in the industry experts to deliver on programme. You will be responsible for inducting the learners, completing progress reviews, developing their employability skills to support their career progression and prepare for final interviews.

The role is an incredibly rewarding one, but attention to detail is a must. That’s because the majority of the delivery will be supported through the use of Government funding which means you need to ensure an accurate record of data entry onto all systems as required by the department and management to enable accurate and full reporting.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- To deliver outstanding quality learning to young people and adults
- Deliver course inductions that establish clear expectations for learner behavior, attendance, punctuality, respect, and adherence to Fundamental British Values.
- Assist learners in developing personal, social, and employability skills essential for their intended job/career progression and personal goals.
- To deliver both accredited and non-accredited courses to standard.
- Maintain a high-quality professional service, ensuring all work promotes the Group brand, aims and objectives.
- To fully understand and meet compliance requirements in accordance with each contract’s requirements.
- To contribute to course development, design and implementation to produce high quality learning materials.
- Positive communication with RE:geon’s team learners and business needs are met
- To always set an excellent example of customer care to all.
- To consistently keep up to date with industry standards and upskill where necessary through additional training / CPD opportunities.
- Attend and participate in regular standardisation meetings.
- Meet and review monthly KPIs relating to the delivery department.
- To take an active role in managing risk, health and safety and safeguarding issues.

**Essential Skills**:

- Hold both a teaching and an assessor’s qualification.
- Previous experience of delivery employability programmes.
- A real passion for high quality education and learning effectiveness.
- Knowledge and understanding of curriculum delivery requirements that can be supported by face-to-face, blended and distance learning.
- Excellent digital competency skills, written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of strategies to maximise student attendance and achievements.

**Desirable Skills/qualification**:

- Hold an IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) qualification.
- Level 2 Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) qualification.
- Have a good knowledge of Health and Safety within a Construction environment. (Hold L1 or above qualification)
- Good knowledge and understanding of the construction sector.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
