Peace Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Project Manager or Senior Site Manager to oversee a major civil engineering project in North Ayrshire. This is a critical role requiring a professional with extensive experience in civil engineering project management to keep the project on programme for the next 6 months. Day rate is negotiable (CIS or Ltd).
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Planning & Execution: Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives.
* Team Coordination: Lead a diverse team of engineers, contractors, and support staff. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
* Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage them. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
* Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for the client, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
* Reporting: Prepare comprehensive project reports, including status updates, financial reports, and risk assessments for senior management and clients.
Requirements:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in large-scale civil engineering projects. Previous experience in freelance roles is advantageous.
* Skills: Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
* Certifications: CSCS Black Card, SMSTS & First Aid. Temporary Works is desirable.
* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and safety regulations.
* Location: Must be willing to work on-site in North Ayrshire for the duration of the project
