This is a hybrid role where you will be managing 2 sites in the Midlands, being responsible for the overall health and safety inspections, conducting risk assessments and reporting any improvements through action plans. Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for managing two allocated sites:
* Conduct and reviews regular risk assessments, create action plans and report on improvements and solutions.
* Working with sites management assist in and give advice on completion of planned actions.
* Keep appraised of present and new legislation maintaining legislation knowledge updated.
* Be responsible for conducting safety, health, environmental and quality inspections, and assisting in the development of related policies.
* Ensure compulsory regulations and policies are complied with, cooperating and assisting authorities with any required investigations.
* Report any non-compliances of company policies and procedures.
* Assist and advise sites management teams on safety issues, investigating all incidents and accidents providing recommendations and detailed reports.
* Ensure all paperwork relating to any incidents or accidents are completed correctly.
* Attend SHEQ meetings, taking and distributing minutes of the meetings.
* Train members of the management team on safe operating procedures.
* Attend shift briefings and late and night shifts as required.
* Ensure all company checks are being conducted frequently.
* Take responsibility for internal and external site tours.
* Undertake inspections and audits within workshops and company offices, assisting in collating relevant information to support external auditors.
* Strive to maintain a uniformed approach across the UK sites by working closely with other team members.
* Undertake any additional duties as may be requested.
The Person
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a similar role.
* A minimum of IOSH Managing Safely.
* Willingness to undertake and gain NEBOSH General Certificate.
* Capable of working with auditing tools.
* Proficient in Excel, Word and Teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build strong customer relationships.
* A strong influencer.
* Highly organised with attention to detail.
* Analytical.
* Flexible and able to work on own initiative.
* Professional and well-presented.
