Key Responsibilities:
" Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies, processes, and systems from start to finish, tailored specifically for large-scale events.
" Manage the implementation and oversight of these policies to ensure they are effectively integrated into all event operations.
" Serve as the primary point of contact for health and safety queries from employees, event staff, visitors, and contractors.
" Compile, review, and manage all health and safety documentation, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH.
" Stay current with HSE legislation and industry trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and adopts best practices.
" Analyse health and safety data to generate reports and develop strategies to enhance safety across all event sites.
" Record and investigate incidents and accidents, using findings to reduce future risks and improve safety protocols.
" Collaborate with HR to deliver and maintain comprehensive health and safety training programs for all event staff and volunteers.
" Lead health and safety audits across multiple event sites, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
" Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that policies and procedures are correctly implemented and followed during events.
" Oversee the implementation of health and safety measures during large-scale events, focusing on crowd safety and incident prevention.
" Communicate health and safety performance outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and engagement.
" Support HR with occupational health issues and risk assessments, including those related to specific event requirements.
" Promote equality and diversity within the workplace, helping to create an inclusive culture for all.
Qualifications and Experience:
" NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
" Proven experience in developing and managing health and safety policies from creation to implementation, particularly in large-scale events.
" Experience in crowd safety management and overseeing safety at large events.
" Strong understanding of data protection legislation and relevant health and safety systems.
" Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
" Proficiency in basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
