As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Officer to join the team in London.

Role Overview:

The Compliance Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards. This position requires a professional with robust experience in framework development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, and gifts and entertainment (G&E) policies.

Key Responsibilities:nFramework Development:

Design, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks to support the firm’s operational integrity and regulatory adherence.nM&A Compliance:

Oversee compliance aspects of mergers and acquisitions, ensuring due diligence and regulatory requirements are meticulously met.nSanctions Monitoring:

Ensure the firm’s activities comply with international sanctions regulations, conducting regular reviews and risk assessments.nAnti-Bribery and Corruption:

Develop and enforce anti-bribery and corruption policies, providing training and guidance to staff to uphold ethical standards.nConflicts of Interest:

Identify and manage conflicts of interest, establishing protocols to mitigate risks.nGifts and Entertainment:

Oversee the G&E policy, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal standards.

Qualifications:nProven experience as a Compliance Officer, ideally within the commodities trading sector.nIn-depth knowledge of UK and international compliance regulations.nStrong expertise in developing and implementing compliance frameworks.nComprehensive understanding of M&A processes and associated compliance requirements.nDemonstrable experience with sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption policies, conflict management, and G&E oversight.nExcellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.nCandidates with commodities experience will be at an advantage
