About the Role

We are seeking an Interim Associate Director of Nursing to oversee and manage a comprehensive portfolio focused on children and young people. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of care and ensuring seamless operations within the unit. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing inpatient paediatrics, neonatal, and maternity transformation plans.
  • Leading risk governance and patient experience improvement projects.
  • Supporting recruitment and retention programmes.
  • Preparing for future CQC inspections.
  • Managing specialized units including the sickle cell unit, CAMHS for children, outpatient paediatrics, ambulatory care units, and children's community nursing.


Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience as a children's matron or in a similar senior nursing role.
  • Experience with children’s services, including neonatal care (desirable).
  • Strong background in risk governance and improvement projects.
  • Proven experience in inpatient paediatrics.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
