About the Role

The Associate Director of Quality is a key leadership position within Avery Healthcare, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care delivery and quality services for our residents, relatives, and colleagues.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to drive continuous improvement, lead change, and challenge conventional approaches to create a learning organisation.

The successful candidate will provide professional nursing leadership and advice, supporting the Director of Quality and working with senior colleagues to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a culture that values the highest standards of care, safety, quality, and clinical risk
  • Leading by example, providing leadership and taking responsibility for ensuring robust quality assurance systems and processes
  • Coaching and developing a team of direct reports to take full accountability for ongoing development
  • Working with senior colleagues to drive continuous improvement and lead change
  • Providing professional nursing leadership and advice, supporting the Director of Quality

This role requires a 1st level Registered Nurse (nursing home) with current NMC number, a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Care & Quality role, and proven experience in a leadership role.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the regulatory framework, the ability to analyse and interpret data to identify emerging risks, themes, and trends, and the personal qualities to work with others, influence, negotiate, and develop strong working relationships.
