We’re expanding our Revenue Team to manage the growing demand for our platform and drive new customer acquisition. As a Business Development Representative, you’ll play a crucial role in building the pipeline that fuels our Sales team. The ideal candidate is a top performer with a knack for tailoring and personalising messages, paired with a strategic mindset.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Drive new sales opportunities: Take ownership of building top-of-funnel sales opportunities for the sales team through highly targeted and personalised messaging.


  • Strategic targeting: Work with the Head of BD and the Account Executive team to strategically target prospect accounts and expand our pipeline.


  • High-volume, personalised outreach: Manage a high volume of personalised activity, focusing primarily on high volume cold calls as well as email segments, social media outreach, and videos, with the ultimate goal of arranging meetings with qualified merchants that turn into opportunities.


  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our sales and leadership teams to ensure down-funnel success and inform lead-generation activities based on deals won and lost.


  • Experimentation and iteration: Create high-converting, personalised customer introductions to reach hard-to-reach prospects through experimentation and iteration.


  • Lead management: Manage sales data in HubSpot to provide visibility and optimise lead generation activities.


Skills and Experience:


  • 1-3 years experience in sales or business development, preferably targeting SMBs
  • You're a natural hunter and excel at driving outbound campaigns
  • Excited to join, and can operate in a fast-growth, high-potential environment
  • A passion for building relationships, particularly with small businesses, and a drive for sales.
  • Extremely strong writing skills and experience using this talent to persuade others.
  • Accountability and consistency in hitting activity and quota metrics.
  • Basic comfort working with sales tools HubSpot, Apollo, etc
  • Bonus: Knowledge of the retail industry or small business ecosystem is a plus.
