We are supporting a Local Authority in the West Midlands in recruiting an Qualified Senior Social Worker with a minimum of 3 years experience in statutory social care working with children.

Essential skills and experience:
BSC, Dip SW or CQSW, with at least 3 years’ experience of working with children in statutory social care. We also ask that you are registered with Social Work England;
To manage a caseload of complex cases caseloads and associated administrative tasks in an effective and timely manner;
Provide supervision and practice management to team members to ensure compliance with national and departmental policies, procedures and quality standards;
Support team members to further their professional knowledge and development to improve the overall quality of practice;
To carry out assessments as appropriate, within timescales and to contribute to or coordinate the construction of outcome focused care plans which are informed by best practice, guidance, and an understanding of the organisational context;
To attend court as and when required and to prepare and present any necessary reports;
To work collaboratively with other professionals to provide appropriate and effective services.
