We are looking for an experienced Senior social work Practitioner to join Child in Care team for Birmingham Childrens Trust.

Roles & responsibilities
- Holding a caseload of Looked after Children
- Undertaking Core Assessments
- Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries
- Undertaking Viability Assessments
- Undertaking Kinship Assessments
- Undertaking Risk Assessments
- Producing Annex B reports
- Undertaking Regulation 38 Assessments
- Undertaking Special Guardian Assessments
- Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs
- Preparing & implementing Care Plans
- Attending court and giving evidence when required
- Obtaining Interim Care Orders/Interim Supervision Orders
- Initiating Care Proceedings
- Completion of Care Proceedings
- Obtaining Special Guardianship Orders
- Producing Child Permanency Reports
- Reviewing Financial payments received by kinship carers/ or carers granted Residence Orders/Special Guardianship Orders

Essential Requirements:

- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 2 years experience as a social worker within childrens services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
