The Opportunity
In this role you’ll work closely with stakeholders and the wider HR team to develop, shape and deliver HR plans and solutions. You will be on hand to advise, guide and support managers,and where required take a lead role in the process of organisational change, including business restructure, redundancies, TUPE transfers and acquisitions and negotiation with unions for annual pay.
You’ll provide advice and support to managers in all aspects of the employee life cycle including, performance management, employee relations, talent management and succession planning, engagement and wellbeing.
Who are you?
Ideally you’ll have proven experience within a large, geographically dispersed, commercial business and have a good understanding of employment law, particularly in absence management, disciplinary and grievance.
You’ll be used to working in partnership with key stakeholders, pro-actively coaching managers and leaders on all aspects of people management, leadership and development, and team engagement to create better workplaces.You’ll also be very hands on and be able to work in a fast paced operational environment managing day to day ER as well as projects that drive business change, working in partnership- with unions at all levels.
Experienced in supporting the delivery of change management, you’ll be used to creating stakeholder communications and delivering HR related projects (cross-functionally if applicable), aligned to the business strategy.
You’ll be adept at identifying risks and opportunities and intervening early through an excellent understanding of the wider business context- KPIs, financial position, Business Intelligence, external market trends and themes.
With this understanding you will use your ability to generate insight and create people focused interventions from a variety of data sources to produce reports on topics including absence and attrition statistics, disciplinary & grievance, salary information, pay benchmarking etc.
You’ll have experience of integrating businesses post acquisition and enjoy the challenge of working with different cultures with a focus on creating alignment on people activities.
