Due to continued business growth, we are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our growing Sales Team – driving and growing sales by identifying, evaluating and winning business through cross selling group wide products and services.

We love working with people who think like we do and as a Business Development Manager, your day will involve developing sales strategies and plans. We are open to applications from across the UK with travel to clients and into BES office locations as required.
What will I be doing?
The job will involve you developing and owning the cross sales revenue delivery plan to meet set targets across group-wide business products and services. You will develop and drive sales initiatives in your area of responsibility to grow the sales pipeline and conversion, supporting overall group business strategy, all the while keeping customer obsession central to all strategic activity.
You will:
* Develop high value solutions for our customers using a wide range of technologies and solutions available
* Become an active member of the Group, working within the team to develop new service and product sales opportunities
* Deliver sales of products and services throughout the group ensuring consistency with the strategic plan, embracing a solution sales approach
* Meet or exceed the BES Group growth strategy and utilise technologies and sales programmes to quickly increase market share
* Understand customer business drivers and goals and keep up to date with customer’s businesses
* Develop relationships at decision maker levels within a customer’s organisation
* Be fluent in discussing scope of services, availability and throughput at all levels
* Develop high value solutions for the customer pains using the product portfolio
* Proactively use the CRM tool to maximise effectiveness
* Deliver monthly sales forecasting and an annual budget forecast
* Analyse market trends and report back into the business

What experience do I need?
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual to join our team. You will be a dynamic technical salesperson who thrives in a target driven environment, with a strong drive to succeed. You will enjoy meeting a variety of customers to generate wins and optimise the opportunities available to grow your portfolio.
You will:
- Offer experience of delivering high value and complex new business
- Knowledge of the Engineering Inspection marketplace would be advantageous
- Possess highly effective sales, communication and presentation skills to deliver results
- Be confident analysing data
- Offer previous experience managing a sales pipeline
- Excel in relationship building, influencing and negotiating, owing to your strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be highly methodical, having the ability to multi-task and prioritise while paying close attention to meeting targets
- Be a role model for less experienced colleagues, offering support and sharing your expertise
- Naturally, you will have excellent attention to detail as you will be working with detailed proposals and CRM systems (experience using MS Dynamics would also be an advantage)
- Experience of working directly with customers and in the customer environment
- Have a track record of developing sales functions and exceeding revenue retention and growth expectations
