Wilmslow, United Kingdom Total Fitness Full time

What’s it all about?

At Total Fitness we’ve been on a journey. 5 years of making and delivering promises to each other – promises and behaviours that have built the unique culture that underpins our amazing organisation. Our culture is encapsulated in our Employer Promise “More is Possible”. We know it’s true about Total Fitness because that promise came from within – from our people and all the stories that make us who we are today. We already live and breathe our promise every day, but it’s time to create more structure to all the ways in which we deliver it today and to build more ways to deliver it for tomorrow. It’s time for us to bring a new team member on-board to help us do this and support the brilliant people from across the business who deliver programmes and initiatives as part of our Possibility Development Team.

Are you up for it?

Structure, formalise, activate, and grow all development activities and initiatives that demonstrate our Employer Promise – More is Possible.

What does the role involve?

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy continuing to bring our employee value proposition to life.
  • Activate our Employer Promise “More is Possible” through the formalisation and development of our EVP delivery plan. The delivery plan spans L&D, engagement, and communication initiatives.
  • Be forward thinking and always aware of what is happening across our industry and beyond to help us stay ahead of the curve.
  • You will play a crucial part in listening to the organisation’s development requirements and identify training needs. Advising the Senior Leadership Team of how we can make more possible for our team members.
  • Design, plan, implement and evaluate learning programmes that address critical skill gaps and support career development.
  • Work on possibility development focused projects, a modular based learning matrix and allowing organic growth opportunities for our people.
  • Introduce innovative approaches, including digital learning solutions, to enhance the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Supervising, mentoring, and leading the L & D Delivery Manager. Collaborating with the Possibility Development Team - offering hands-on coaching and guidance where needed. Ensuring that all training is quality assured before rollout within the organisation.

Ideal skills and personality for the role:

  • Candidates must have senior level experience within L&D
  • CIPD member or equivalent
  • Coaching qualification desirable
  • You will have a proven record of excellent communication, coordination, the ability to prioritise a busy workload and strong influencing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience working cross functionally with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of designing training programmes that maximise engagement.
  • You will be a problem solver, adaptable and have a clear appreciation of the power of a well-activated EVP.

What you'll get

  • A focus on you, a refreshing and supportive environment that inspires individuality.
  • A place to be you. Your character, what makes you an individual -that’s what we want you to bring to work with you every day.
  • A free membership for you and a family member, plus discounted memberships for 2 additional people.
  • Regular one to ones with your manager and the support of a team who encourage you to reach your full potential.
  • Varied and flexible opportunities - Depending on your role, there will be opportunities for training and development to help you reach your next step, whatever direction that’s in.
  • A defined yet flexible career plan if you want it, and a place to turn your passion into action.
  • The opportunity to provide regular feedback on your experiences through our Employee Engagement Survey – A chance to help shape the business going forward.
  • A crowd of supporters - We celebrate and move forward together, so plenty of social activities and events
  • An induction day where you'll meet people from across the business alongside other people starting their journey with us.
  • We believe everyone is better fitter, so if fitness is your thing, we often find opportunities to workout together.
  • As standard - A competitive salary
  • Holiday leave entitlement
  • Pension
  • Discounts on our retail and cafe products
