Baird and Co Recruitment, a specialist Social Housing recruitment firm, are currently seeking a Property Manager for a community-based Social Housing provider based in Hull.
The Property Manager role is a permanent position, is paying in the region of £40-42,000 per annum and would be a perfect role for someone looking to work for a business that truly knows and supports its tenants. The aim of the role is simply to deliver a customer-focused, effective and efficient Property Services function that ensures good quality, safe places for tenants to live.
Prior experience in inspections, working with contractors and providing service value are all required, though there is flexibility for the role on either a full or part-time basis.
The Property Manager post will cover many responsibilities, though these aren’t exhaustive:
* Lead the property function by providing relevant technical expertise in property-related matters.
* Communicate, coordinate and manage effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors, liaising closely with tenants, external agencies and stakeholders.
* Ensure up-to-date and accurate property and repairs records, utilising data for management and reporting purposes, including tenancy satisfaction measures.
* Manage workload demands and priorities for responsive repairs, including 24/7 emergency repair services, void property works, as well as planned, cyclical and refurbishment works
* Ensure value for money and quality of work, identifying and implementing continuous improvement.
* Support and embed a culture of customer involvement by shaping delivery and improving services, ensuring meaningful involvement of tenants is central to all activities
* Contribute to the development of relevant policies and procedures and ensure compliance with service standards and performance improvement targets.
* Be supportive and involved, contributing to the development and delivery of corporate and strategic objectives, ensuring that the business retains a positive reputation and local impact.
* Participate in risk management by working within established definitions of acceptable and unacceptable risks and contribute to positive risk assessments.
* Demonstrate personal and professional behaviours that meet CIH professional standards.
* Co-ordinate action in response to unforeseen, emergency (24/7) or crisis situations.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and key industry legislation and good practice.
To secure the Property Manager post, the business is seeking the below:
* Prior experience in property management
* Prior experience in a manager or team leader position
* Experience in working with contractors
* Knowledge of inspections
* A proactive outlook to customer support and tenant involvement
