This innovative new service, piloting Leeds City Council’s new Community Health and Wellbeing model, gives Care Assistants the opportunity to provide a more flexible, personalised service.
Working in a small community team, you will provide regular and consistent care to your clients, working with families and communities to strengthen connections and improve wellbeing.
We are recruiting a minimum of 3 full-time or 6 part-time Wellbeing Workers to provide care and support to people living in in the LS12 and LS13 area of Leeds which includes:

Upper Moor Side
We are looking for people with Be Caring values to join our team. If you want to make a positive difference to the lives of those in your community, we want to hear from you
Pay: £12.50 p/hr (drivers) / £12.00 p/hr (walkers) from Monday 16th September - travel time included
Shift Pay rather than pay per call; allowing you to go Above & Beyond when supporting clients to achieve outcomes, maintain independence and build community connections.
Mileage - 45p per mile for drivers & 20p per mile for cyclists
Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.
As a Wellbeing Worker for Be Caring, your working hours will be aligned to our shift patterns, which for this role include late shift working and alternate weekends.
Early Shifts: 7:00am - 2:00pm
Late Shifts: 4:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times)
As a Wellbeing Worker for Be Caring, we will agree you working pattern, setting a 2-week rota which includes: 
Alternate full weekends
Evenings as agreed within your working hours

Job Description
You may already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent Wellbeing Worker for Be Caring, patience, empathy and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role.
As a Wellbeing Worker working in Leeds, you will:
Provide personal care that protects people's dignity
Promote independence using enabling approaches
Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals
Connect people to their communities by accessing local support and services
Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control
Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time
Induction Training
As a Wellbeing Worker for Be Caring, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training on:
Be Caring values, going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes
Dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity
Confidentiality and professional boundaries
Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication
Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red)
Infection prevention and control, health and safety
Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity
