**Community, Health & Prevention - Casual Staff Wellbeing/ Transitions Worker.**

The Community Health and Prevention team have 50 staff working to support young people’s Emotional Wellbeing and mental health across a number of strands; Transitions, Wellbeing, Domestic Violence and Complex Needs and Therapeutic Services.
- This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and respected team of Wellbeing and Transition workers, delivering Emotional and issue-based Wellbeing support to children and young people on a 1:1 and groupwork basis in Schools, offsites and where requested, on an outreach basis across Leeds and Wakefield.
- We are looking for people passionate about support young people’s emotional wellbeing that have experience in delivering health and wellbeing support to young people; primary age, secondary age or 16-25 years old.
- We have a number of services and therefore as a Casual Staff Wellbeing/ Transitions Worker you’d provide support to young people via one of our Wellbeing Services;
- AIM Project - Key stage 4+ Children in care, Care-Experienced or Leaving Care
- Wellbeing in Primary / Secondary Schools - 1:1 support and/or Group Work Programmes
- Transitions - post CAMHS support/intervention
- SEN support - for secondary age young people disengaged from school settings
- Drop-in support / Short-term cover
- Community, Health and Prevention Events/Workshops

You will be required to work restoratively to support a caseload of vulnerable young people (or a single case/young person) and work closely with Schools, parents and/ or other agencies and sometimes commissioners directly. Wellbeing workers will carry out assessments, maintain case records and provide an end report for every young person supported.
- All services and therefore hours will involve providing short term, support for children and young people referred for support through schools and clusters or direct commissioners such as Local Authority or CAMHS (typically 8 weeks, but Transitions/ SEN and AIM Project are longer)
- At GIPSIL our Counselling Team and Wellbeing Team work side by side under Community Health and Prevention Service, working together across schools and communities delivering many services including those listed above. The successful applicant will be one of 20+ Wellbeing Workers and will benefit from our team culture, supported by experienced Services Manager (Wellbeing and Therapeutic), Coordinators and Senior Wellbeing Workers.
- To support and promote team work, we offer a work space within our Community Health and Prevention Team office at The Old Gipton Fire Station. We hold a library of resources to support your learning and development and have access to various rooms to enable the teams to come together for meetings, training and group supervisions regularly. If the hours are Wakefield-based, we also offer space at The Hut in Airedale, Castleford, Wakefield (25 mins away from Gipton office).
- It’s also really important to GIPSIL that we have a good working relationship with our commissioners and the organisation where you’re delivering or co-locating, whether that’s a school or another partner organisation, to ensure you feel supported in your role. Therefore we work closely with them to ensure you are embedded in every team you’re part of, everyone understands your role and that you have the appropriate space and technology within that setting.
