As a Children and Young Person's Support Worker you must deliver a high standard of support across various settings including residential, bespoke, unique, mental health, learning disabilities, autism and ADHD.
You will be in a team of healthcare professionals across the board from other support workers to social workers, education, medical and police services. You will be supplying the best care to each individual child, this must be person centred and promote independence and support achieving the best possible outcomes for the young person/child.
Main duties include:
· Offer emotional support and aid life skills
· Promoting healthy, positive and safe relationships
· Working as part of a team of Child and Young Person Support Workers
· Act professionally and responsibly
Ensuring all staff, healthcare professionals and the children are treat with respect and dignity.
· Report any concerns to management within the service.
· Personal care requirements.
· Have confidence dealing with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
· Support the child/ young person in daily activities, promote a healthy lifestyle, encourage basic life skills.
About you:
* 2 years+ experience working with Children and Young People in the health and social care sector.
* Have an NVQ level 3 in Children and Young Person's Health or Social Care. If not must be willing to work towards this qualification.
* Experience working with challenging behaviour and mental health illness.
* Be reliable, professional and accountable.
* Hold a DBS and registered on the update service.
* Approach your role as a children and young person Support Worker in a professional way and to work with the team.
* Hold a clear driving licence, with access to a vehicle

* 4 on 4 off shifts. Days or nights. 12-hour shifts.
* £14.00ph to £21.00ph.
