**Do you have a real desire to support individuals with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?**

**Responsibilities**:
We are looking for passionate and committed Child Support Workers to work with us on delivering community outreach and short breaks for children with learning disabilities and their families. Working in conjunction with the local authority, we have been contracted to serve individuals and families throughout the North East, including children with complex needs such as learning disabilities and autism. These children will therefore require consistency and commitment from support workers who can provide regular support at set times.

**Your days will vary depending on who you are supporting, but will always require**:

- Providing the children with truly person-centred support in doing the things they love to do, and in making choices and decisions.
- Compassion, care, and respect.
- Treating everyone as an equal.
- Being resilient when things get difficult, knowing that with your support amazing results are possible.

**Must Have**:

- UK Driving Licence and Access to a Car.
- One year UK experience.
- NVQ Level 2 in Children and young People or related care sector, NVQ Level 3 is desirable.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour
