**Duties**:

- To maintain a high quality of care and support which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and cultural needs of children and young people.
- Working from the guidelines of Childrens Act, National Minimum Standards, Every Child Matters plus any other relevant legislation.
- Provide a caring, supportive, and nurturing environment in which young people can feel secure and safe from harm.
- Establish positive relationships with the young people and other staff members offering positive and unconditional regard.
- Helping young people gain self-control in stressful or emotional situations challenging unacceptable behaviour and rewarding acceptable social conduct.
- To act as a key worker for our young people to ensure their plans are kept up to date and all care plans are being met. To provide a positive role model to be able to offer safe advice, guidance and assistance where appropriate.
- Be able to provide 1/1 assistance to support young people addressing past and present difficulties

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills.
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,100.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
