1. Surface Inspection and Assessment
* Defect Identification: Examine concrete surfaces for imperfections such as cracks, voids, honeycombing, and spalling.
* Assessment: Evaluate the extent and severity of concrete defects to determine appropriate repair methods.
2. Preparation of Work Area
* Site Cleaning: Clear the work area of debris, dust, and other contaminants to ensure a clean working environment.
* Protection Measures: Set up protective barriers and coverings to safeguard adjacent surfaces and structures.
3. Concrete Surface Preparation
* Surface Cleaning: Use tools such as wire brushes, pressure washers, or sandblasters to clean concrete surfaces.
* Roughening: Roughen smooth surfaces using mechanical methods to enhance the bond of repair materials.
4. Repair and Remediation
* Crack Repair: Fill and seal cracks with appropriate materials, such as epoxy or polyurethane, to prevent further deterioration.
