Job Description:
TVS SCS Integrated Final Mile provides courier services, spare parts logistics, and technical repair and refurbishment services to public and private sector customers across a wide range of industries.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and experienced Bid Manager to join our business winning team. This role will operate at an operational and strategic level, playing an important part in driving the growth of the business. We bid to provide tailored logistics solutions across a wide range of industry sectors, for contracts ranging in value from thousands, to several million.
The purpose of the role is to manage all bid management activity through a hands-on approach which will include bid writing.
The Bid Manager will ensure the production of high quality, winning and profitable bid proposals that are aligned to the strategic direction of the company. You will need to be comfortable delivering every aspect of the end-to-end bid process, taking full responsibility from initial assessment of the opportunity through to compliant submission of the response. This will include working with subject matter experts from across the organisation to design tailored solutions, produce technical responses, and coordinate pricing activity.
The bids will cover the provision of courier services within the logistics sector; ideally, we are looking for someone from a similar background.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and communicate opportunities that emerge from various sources
- Work with the wider TVS bid management community at various UK sites. This role may include some travel
- Work with the business development team to ensure proposals are aligned with the win strategy for the opportunity
- Produce responses for all stages of the bidding process, responding to Request for Information (RFI), Expression of Interest (EOI), Pre- Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ), and Invitations to Tender (ITT)
- Use the TVS SCS bid management process and associated tools
- Develop relationships with subject matter experts to ensure resources and information are provided in a timely and appropriate manner
- Write responses using the information they provide
- Manage the bid process and project stakeholders, providing structure and order to the bid, so that responses are of the highest possible quality
- Work independently with limited supervision
- Build a new content library of strong template responses
- Coordinate solution design activity
- Coordinate pricing activity with commercial team
- Manage the review, sign-off and due diligence processes through to timely submission.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Previous experience of successfully managing the bid process and delivering on large scale, complex bids and tenders
- Excellent writing skills to convert subject matter expert input into a clear, compelling proposition
- Project management skills
- Strong relationship and influencing skills
- A clear focus on delivery, with the gravitas to motivate teams essential
- Strong communicator, influencer, and innovator
- Able to liaise at all levels to secure the confidence of division and group during the approval cycle
- Strong writing, IT and analytical skills important

- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- At least five years’ experience in a similar role
- Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification
