Our clients have a modern residential development located within easy reach of Hendon Central station. They are seeking a permanent Facilities Manager who has particularly solid hard services facilities management experience and expertise in the management of Fire Safety and Health and Safety in residential apartment blocks. Required experience and knowledge of managing building mechanical and engineering facilities including HVAC, BMS systems, PPM scheduling and management. The role shall also encompass the responsibility for managing an on-site maintenance technician and all service and contract engineers. We need someone with strong all round building maintenance experience who can manage contractors, manage planned and reactive works and have good IT skills to update and manage a computerised database as well as excellent command of written English to document and communicate in writing effectively and concisely. Must be assertive, organised. This will be a hands on role including not only computerised office work but also constant building checks and a physical presence on site supervising and checking works with daily overseeing of engineering operations and facilities management contractors. You will be liaising with the Development Manager, Regional Manager, developers, investors and residents an must have the confidence to attend meetings, hold meetings, give and take instructions in an effective team orientated way. Ultimately you will ensure that residents, visitors, staff and contractors are protected from health and safety hazards and fire safety management procedures are upheld at all times. This role will be very hands on and we need someone with good IT and good knowledge of current fire safety management regulations, knowledge of BMS systems, M&E, Heating and Hot Water and Air Conditioning systems
